Those in the blue jerseys of Merseyside are among the founding members of England’s first football league. Everton’s consistent, steady play sees them hold the record for most seasons in the English topflight and the club even tasted European glory in the mid-80s. The Toffees are, quite simply, a Premier League mainstay, troubling teams from all ends of the league table and venturing into Europe to battle amongst countries far and wide. They’ve yet to crack the code of the Premier League’s elite, but when they do, look out – when the Evertonians arrive, they’ve proved they’re there to stay.
