The Czech Republic National Team’s first international competition as an independent nation was at Euro 1996, but the soccer prowess of the nation goes back much further. While competing as a unified Czechoslovakia, the country finished second at the 1934 and 1962 World Cups and won the European Championship in 1976. Their last appearance on the world stage was in 2006 and the men in red jerseys are in the process of a rebuild to arrive there yet again.
